Mark you calendars for the 10th Annual Missouri Speedgolf Open, taking place on Memorial Day Weekend 2024. The famed Horton Smith Golf Course will once again host a Major Championship on the SGUSA Tour and will also serve as one of three (3) Speedgolf World Championships Qualifying sites for Team USA in 2024.
On Sunday and Monday, May 26th and 27th, 2024, Speedgolf's top competitors from across the USA and around the world will be welcomed by one of the largest and most passionate Speedgolf communities in America - Speedgolf Springfield. The combination is always electric, so get ready for fireworks!
Horton Smith GC is a short yet challenging course, ideal for low scoring and fast round times. It's a great initiation into Speedgolf for first-timers. The Speedgolf world record, set in 2021 by Scott Dawley with a time of 107:15 (65 in 42:15), adds to the decade-long legacy of the Missouri Speedgolf Open.

TOURNAMENT RULES & SCORING:
The 2024 SGUSA Official Rules of Speedgolf will govern play. USGA rules apply, with Rule 27-1 concerning lost balls & out of bounds in effect, modified to a 1-stroke penalty. Official timing will start at the player's assigned tee time and stop when the ball is holed on the final green.
SCOREKEEPERS / CADDIES:
Volunteers are encouraged to sign up by selecting the Volunteer option. All players will be assigned a volunteer scorekeeper who either runs or drives a cart alongside during their tournament round. Scorekeepers must mark their player's score, help locate their player's ball, provide hydration and extra golf balls at the player's request. Players have the option to bring their own scorekeeper, who must meet additional requirements. If a player does not bring their own scorekeeper, they will be paired with a volunteer recruited from the local community.
EQUIPMENT:
No Equipment on Greens - Per SGUSA policy, players may not place or drop bags/clubs/equipment (other than the ball) on the putting green for the purpose of making a stroke. Violations of this rule incur a 1 stroke penalty per incident.
Finish With All Equipment - Players must finish their round with all of their equipment through the green of the last hole played. The penalty for leaving equipment on the course is 1 stroke per incident.
LOCAL RULES:
A complete list of local rules will be made available to all participants the week of the event.
PRIZES:
A $3,000 cash purse is guaranteed for the 36-hole Open Division. Additional sponsorship may allow us to offer a purse for additional divisions. Medals/awards will be provided to all division winners and runners-up.
PRACTICE ROUND:
